Software Development Intern — Real Project Work

Product EngineeringChennai (on-site)Internship3rd year, final year, or recent graduate

Work on YegamAI's live development projects — real codebases, real requirements, real reviews. This is not a certificate program: project work at YegamAI is earned through qualification, never purchased. Open to students from any degree — BE/BTech, BSc, MSc, BCA, MCA — what matters is that you can code, or are serious about learning to.

What you'll do

  • Pick up issue-based tasks on in-progress YegamAI development projects
  • Work with version control, branches, and pull requests like a professional team
  • Write and run tests; fix what breaks
  • Get every piece of work reviewed by a mentor — and act on the feedback
  • Deploy to staging environments and see your work running

How you qualify

  • Route 1 — Training: join the YegamAI Careers training program, qualify through instructor approval and a technical review, then move onto real project work.
  • Route 2 — Direct probation: already write code on your own? Apply directly. Pass a technical screen, then prove yourself in a two weeks probation on real project tasks.
  • Either way, the bar is the same: you join the development cycle when you are ready to contribute, not before.
  • Project work and internships at YegamAI are never charged for. We do not sell internship experience or certificates.

What we're looking for

  • Currently in 3rd year, final year, or recently graduated — BE/BTech, BSc, MSc, BCA, MCA, or equivalent
  • Working fundamentals in at least one programming language
  • Willingness to learn git, code review, and team discipline
  • Consistent availability — project work needs steady hours, not weekend bursts

Nice to have

  • +Personal projects or a GitHub profile, however small
  • +Basic understanding of how web applications work (frontend, backend, database)
